Compete with the World’s Best at the ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge
5 September 2019 – A subsidiary of the largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship™ (ONE), ONE Esports’ upcoming ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge seeks the best Street Fighter V players to test their skills against pro players. This tournament is fully supported by Capcom.
Taking place at the Bellesalle Shibuya Garden on October 6, 2019, the ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge will see two winners of the Open Community Tournament team up with Capcom Pro Tour Super Premier winner Bonchan to take on three other teams consisting of nine of Asia’s strongest Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition pros for a share of the ¥2,000,000 (US$20,000) prize pool. The tournament is part of the two-day ONE Martial Arts Fan Fest, which also features top ONE Championship athletes such as Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez, as well as martial arts legends Rich Franklin and Miesha Tate. Tournament Details
1. Open Community Tournament
- Details: The top two players from the Open Community Tournament will form “Team Japan” together with Bonchan.
- Date: October 6, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. GMT+9

- Entry Conditions: Must be over 13 years of age at the time of registration
- Match Format: Single elimination tournament
2. Invitational Pro Tournament
- Details: Double elimination tournament consisting of four teams representing Asian nations. “Team Japan” will consist of Bonchan and the top two players of the Open Community
- Tournament. Winner of this tournament will be crowned the first ONE Street Fighter Tokyo Challenge champion.
- Date: October 6, 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. GMT+9
- Entry Conditions: Must be over 13 years of age at the time of registration, must be invited by ONE Esports or place in the top two of the Open Community Tournament
- Match Format: Double elimination format
