After threed of nonstop button-mashing action, Evo Japan 2020, one of the biggest fighting tournaments, has come to an end yesterday and hailed its champions in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, and more.

For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Shuto “Shuton” Moriya Seisuke took home the golden Nintendo Switch Pro controller with his impressive Olimar showing throughout the tournament. In the world of Street Fighter, Ryo “Nauman” Sato managed to put a stop to Kenryo “Mago” Hayashi’s reverse sweep with his Sakura – taking home around $9000 for the win. In Tekken 7, Nopparut “Book” Hempamorn won a close 3-2 series against Ikeda “Mikio” Ryoto with his trusty Leroy, a character that saw much play in the tournament.

For the rest of the fighting games, Zain “Bluegod” T. won first place in Soulcalibur VI, Tsutomu “kubo” Kubota dominated BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, and Ga “Camera” Mera reigned supreme in Samurai Shodown.
