Oceanic Esports League Announces OEDL Fall Invitational
Oceanic Esports League today announced the Oceanic Esports Dota League (OEDL) Fall Invitational, a tournament that pits some of Southeast Asia’s best representatives against the top four teams of the Oceanic Esports Dota League Season 3, which will run from April 27 to May 15.
The inaugural season of the inter-region competition aims to transform Oceania into a key esports environment where players, enthusiasts, and stakeholders from all over the world can uplift the standing, pursue their passion, and harvest the benefits of esports in the region.

The lead-up to the OEDL Fall Invitational will kick off with the conclusion of the OEDL’s third season. Once Oceania’s representatives have been determined, the open qualifier for Southeast Asian teams will start with the registered participants competing in a best-of-one single elimination bracket for one of the two slots for the closed qualifier.
The closed qualifier will feature the top two teams from the open qualifiers plus six invited teams from the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 Southeast Asia Lower Division. They will compete in a single round-robin, best-of-two series format where the top four teams that will garner the best scores will earn the right to compete in the group stage.
The group stage will use the same format as the closed qualifier except for this time, the top four teams from the OEDL Season 3 and the top four Southeast Asian teams from the closed qualifier will juke it out. The top six teams will advance to the double-elimination playoff bracket where the honor of being crowned as the first-ever OEDL Invitational grand champion and the lion’s share of the AUD $17,500 prize pool are at stake.

To promote and preserve the quality of competition, eligibility for the OEDL Fall Invitational closed qualifier direct invitation and open qualifier registration will only be open for the Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 1 – Southeast Asia Lower Division teams and below.
