Gambit Esports makes history as the first team in a major international Valorant tournament to sweep a grand finals 3 to 0. They also take the cake for the first team to win a map 13 to 0 in a major international Valorant tournament with their Icebox win against G2 Esports during the deciding map of the quarterfinals. Known to dominate scrims, this championship validates “Scrimbit’s” position as the strongest team in the EMEA region.
“We don’t feel the pressure,” says Igor “Redgar” Vlasov, Gambit Esports’ team captain, on representing the EMEA region. “We are just playing our game that’s all.” Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin adds, “I wanna say thanks a lot [to] all people who [write to] me, who [say] some good words… [It makes] me happy all the time reading [them] before the game, you know. I just know that I have a lot of fans.”
