Smart Omega, Blacklist International punch way into Garena’s CODM Regional Qualifier playoffs
Philippine CODM bets Smart Omega Esports and Blacklist International.Ultimate have officially booked a spot in the playoffs of this year’s CODM Garena Regional Qualifiers.
This comes after the grueling group stages games came to a close last night with Smart Omega collecting 10 points and enough for a third seed finish in Group A. Blacklist on the other hand, garnered a total of 7 points for the 4th seed in Group B.

The CODM Garena Regional Qualifiers playoffs will see teams square off in a best of five, single-elimination format. That means there will be no room for error for the teams in contention for they will be immediately eliminated upon a series loss.
Being the third seed in Group A grants Smart Omega the chance to face Group B’s second seed and 5-time Indonesian champions Dunia Games (DG) Esports. On the other hand, Blacklist International.Ultimate finishing as the fourth seed of Group B means they will be facing Group A’s first seed and Thailand champions Sharper Esport.
(Additional note: If both Smart and Blacklist win their first series, they will face each other in the semifinals of the tournament)

The regional meet pits all Southeast Asian CODM teams vying for a slot for CODM’s World Championship later this year. Only the champions of this tournament gets to represent Garena and Southeast Asia against teams from all around the world with a prizepool of 2 million USD.
The playoffs runs through on October 16 and 17. All matches can be watched live on Garena CODM’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
