Arcane displaces Squid Game as #1 show on Netflix
People everywhere have been raving about Arcane this past week, and it’s for no small reason. The League of Legends-based animated series has earned a 100% rating from Rotten Tomatoes and a 9.4/10 from IMDb, the latter making it the highest rated Netflix series of all time. This is not the only chart it’s topping, as it was #1 in 34 countries on release.

The hype surrounding the series combined with its friendliness to watchers without knowledge of League of Legends contribute to its success. This week, Arcane has taken the #1 spot for series and displacing the popular Korean series Squid Game. If you’re looking for a sign to start watching Arcane and the advertisements everywhere haven’t convinced you yet, this might be your sign.
Welcome to the era of LEGENDS.
