When asked how the map was made, Cody stated that he created the map in Photoshop with the use of multiple references.

“I did the map first since I haven’t tried doing it and I had to do some research and some small studies about the style. After gathering some references, I just started adding some landmarks first and after that I let my creativity and judgment be in charge of the design of the map,” Cody described the process of making the said map.

According to Cody, the map was made for their midterm requirement for the Physical Education subject.

“The map was part of our Physical Education’s midterm group presentation. We were tasked to create a presentation showing/explaining plans about traveling,” Cody stated. “Our leader had the idea to do a Genshin Impact-themed presentation and from there we managed to come up with a lot of ideas and one of them was the map itself.”

Moreover, Cody and his group were all big fans of the game and were eager to leave a lasting impact on their presentation.

“Our goal as a group is to not just present something or just pass something for the grade, we always wanted to leave something memorable when we pass our projects, and we want to make sure that it will surpass their expectations. We prepared a lot for this project since most of us in the group are huge fans of Genshin Impact, and I think that it also had a huge impact on the result as we enjoyed and loved making this presentation a lot,” Cody revealed.

Besides the map, Cody also revealed that they also made their own chibi characters for their 20-minute presentation.

“Actually the overall duration of our presentation was around 20 mins since we did a Genshin Impact livestream format where we had our own chibi characters and more.”

Being the first ones to present, Cody and his group were initially nervous but were all overjoyed once they saw the supportive comments from their peers with their teacher enjoying the presentation itself.

“A week before the actual presentation, [group] leaders and assistant leaders had a meeting with our teacher. In that meeting, it was announced that our group will be the first one to present which made us really nervous. We then proceed to use the remaining days to really finish all the things needed and we had practiced to really make sure that everything will be smooth on the day of the presentation. When we started presenting, the class started to chat on the message box and we were so overwhelmed with their reactions. We were very happy and grateful with how supportive they are. Our teacher really loved the chibis, the music, and the presentation itself.”

So far, Cody’s post on the Genshin impact global Facebook group garnered 5.9K reactions, 622 comments, and 1.7K shares as of this article’s writing. Cody and his group also plans to publish a recorded version of their presentation once they find the time to do so.
