5 Philippine teams make their way into Garena Invitational Battle Royale
Five (5) Philippine teams made their way into the Garena Invitational Battle Royale (GIBR), Southeast Asia’s biggest Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) Battle Royale tournament.
Riley Esports, EZ Reborn Esports Magna, Armament Rodzina, HE Phoenix, and Royal Kings all booked their slots in the regional meet after a grueling 2-day, 16-round Wildcard round.
Players from Riley Esports, who just recently acquired players from Amethaverse Esports, topped the Wildcard round with a whopping 309 points, with round-best 182 and 127 points in kill and place points, respectively. EZR Magna, Armament Rodzina, HE Phoenix, and Royal Kings finished in the 2nd, 3rd 4th, and 5th spots with just 12, 9, and 17 points separating them.
The five Philippine teams along with Malaysia’s ABCxMystic will now join the other teams from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan/Macau/Hong Kong as well as Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines to battle for the 20,000 USD prize pool.
