Smart Omega secures playoff berth in CODM Worlds ’22 after wins against STMN and NYSL
Smart Omega secures a playoff spot in the CODM World Championship 2022 after an impressive day one performance.
The country’s pride swept European champions Stamina Esports and North America’s NYSL Mayhem to claim Group A’s top spot.

Smart Omega started off by defeating heavily favored Stamina Esports who is Europe’s number one seed coming into the competition. The boys clad in their new black and gold themed kits won in Hardpoint at Summit 250-213, Search and Destroy at Firing Range 12-10, and Control at Raid 3-0.

The Filipinos continued their stellar run with another series win against North America’s NYSL Mayhem. Smart Omega won two close games in Hardpoint at Takeoff 250-243 and Search and Destroy at Hacienda 7-5 then closed the series out with a 3-0 win in Control at Raid to sweep the Americans.

Meanwhile, fellow Filipinos over at Luminosity Gaming also secured a playoff spot of their own after topping Group D. The North American organization defeated Europe’s Nova Esports and Latin America’s SKADE to advance into the next round.
In the playoffs, Smart Omega will face Group D’s number two seed SKADE in the Quarterfinal 1 matchup. On the other hand, Luminosity Gaming will be up against Group A number two Stamina Esports in the Quarterfinal 4 bout. Both teams will start their playoff journey on Saturday, December 17 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time (10:00 p.m. PH time).
