Due to a series of losses, Natus Vincere.Dota 2 squad released their captain Arthur “Goblak” Kostenko, who will be temporarily replaced by former PowerRangers’ support Akbar “sonneiko” Butaev.

Sonneiko will be playing the fourth and fifth position for the next two weeks, which will be very decisive in the formation of the final squad.

The main reason for this change is because “the team hasn’t reach its former synergy.”

First of all, I’d like to express gratitude to Arthur for excellent performance, for great skills of a captain and a drafter he has demonstrated. We’ve lived through many things together during a short period of time. We had bright victories and painful losses. I don’t know the ideas Arthur is fond of now, but I am sure that he’ll achieve them because he is the Professional! kimi said.

As of now, Goblak remains teamless.

Na’Vi finished fourth in the recently concluded Major All Stars after being eliminated by Ninjas in Pyjamas in the loser’s bracket.

Also, they finished 6th in the Dota 2 Asia Championship, the biggest Dota 2 tournament in Asia, held in China last January 15 after falling behind HyperGloryTeam

Na’Vi.Dota 2 squad was founded in October 2010 with Goblak in the original team. Na’Vi was then invited to the first The International in 2011, in which they won after beating E-HOME with the score 3-1.

As of now, Na.VI.Dota 2 squad consists of :

Ivan “Vanskor” Skorohod
Alexander “DkPhobos” Kucheria
Daniil “Dendi” Ishutin
Alexander “ХВОСТ” Dashkevich
Akbar “sonneiko” Butaev (stand-in)
