Players Confess to Match-Fixing Scandal Involvement
Six out of the eight players that were placed under suspension due to a match-fixing issue between teams Mineski Dota 2 and MSI-EvoGT Dota 2 admitted that the accusations were true.
The accused players were invited by Mineski and MSI to explain their side and to sort things out. Each of them confessed that they have been involved with the rigging and were associated with Michael Vallejos and Jonathan Radores. With contrite, the players wrote a message asking for apology from their management and fans. Each of the players involved have also stated their withdrawal from their respective teams.
The players who were responsible and have since confessed include (pictures at the bottom):
From Mineski Dota:
Mark Anthony “Jacko” Soriano
Richard “Paseo” Minowa
From MSI-EvoGT:
Carlo “Chin” Rivera
Mark “Byb” Gavin
Denver “yNd” Miranda
Patrick “JyC” Pascua
The players who were guilty will receive sanctions from both organizations.
The investigation still continues as the inspecting committee awaits for the statements of Joven “jvn” Pancho and Jo “Jotan” Tan.
