Another ‘El Clasico’ for TI5 SEA Tiebreakers
Team Rave was not able to hold on to their momentum and MVP.Phoenix takes the spot in the upper bracket for the Southeast Asian Qualifiers’ group stage finals. Damien ‘kpii’ Chok’s Sven cleaved through his team’s victory, leaving Rave defenseless during the latter part of the game.
It was a good start for Rave during the first few minutes of the game with them having a 6-1 kill advantage. But MVP.Phoenix gained their momentum during a team fight in bottom lane where they managed to get one kill after another.
Both teams showed potential in winning the game and no one backed down in a team fight as long as there is a hero still standing. Djardel ‘chrissy’ Mampusti’s Queen of Pain bought back just in time for Ryo ‘ryOyr’ Hasegawa’s 5-man Echo Slam with his Earthshaker. Rave was able to make a comeback after their initial loss.
Rave will win one team fight but MVP.Phoenix will retaliate and win the next team fight. However, the game went in favor of MVP.Phoenix when Rave lacked the physical damage and disable to shutdown Sven especially with the Io support, played by Yongmin ‘febby-dieu’ Kim Vacuum, and Taewon ‘March’ Park’s Vacuum-Wall combo with his Dark Seer.
MVP.Phoenix got the full momentum and Rave had to throw in the towel and fight in the lower brackets against a fellow Filipino team, TheNetCom Pro Team (TnC). MVP.Phoenix will also play against their fellow Korean team in the upper brackets against MVP.Hot6
