Earlier today, Filipino Dota 2 fans around the world were shocked when Filipino Dota 2 team Rave announced that they will be fielding a new roster for the seventh edition of the Mineski Pro Gaming League (MPGL), replacing Jio “Jeyo” Madayag and Michael “NB” Ross with Marvin “Boombacs” Rushton and Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano.

With many people wondering about what will happen to the team, Rave captain Mark “Cast” Pilar finally cleared the dust in regards to the team’s official status in a statement on his personal Facebook page.

Cast said that there will be a restructuring of the team after a lengthy discussion with Pyung “pYung” Kwon, the team’s manager. In addition, he said that Jeyo needed to rest and took time off to decide whether he should continue his studies or continue with professional gaming. Cast also thanked their support player, NB, “for all the sacrifices and efforts he has made to help the team become better.”

At the moment, each member of Rave are considered free agents: free to decide on whether they’ll sign a new contract with the team or end it altogether.
