SmileGate Announces Details for the CrossFire Stars 2015 Grand Finals
SmileGate, the producers of popular FPS title CrossFire, have revealed several important details for this year’s CrossFire Stars (CFS) 2015 Grand Finals.
The Global Finals will be held in China, featuring 12 of the strongest CrossFire teams from all over the world. Tournament hosts China have been given two spots in the CFS Global Finals, due to “the high number of users in the country”, while the rest of the regions have been given a slot each for the finals of CrossFire’s largest tournament.
As for the Philippines, which has been given a single slot, the champion of the CFS National Finals will represent the country. The National Finals will be held in October 11 this year at the SM North Edsa Cyberzone, where 16 of the country’s top-flight teams will fight for the much-coveted championship, as well as the right to respresent the Philippines in the quest to get the right of being called the best CrossFire team in the world.
Pacific.Macta made a very strong mark during the last edition of the tournament when they took third place, beating Penta Esports from Europe in two maps (10-1 on Black Widow and 10-6 on Sub Base, respectively). They were able to eliminate Chinese side EP.IG as well as North America’s !NSTINCT along the way to their podium spot.
The prize pool for the game’s largest tournament has not been revealed as of press time.
