Mineski is on the Ropes: Can the Philippines Pull Past OG?
It’s a do-or-die situation for Philippine team Mineski. After their loss against Team Secret, they now have to face another European team, OG. If Mineski lose to OG, they will be eliminated from the tournament. A win lets them continue forward.
The winner advances and secures a 7-8th spot with a guaranteed $105,000 take-home prize (3.5% of total prize pot). If Mineski loses however, they will end at 9-12th place with a guaranteed $45,000 prize money (1.5% share of total pot).

Mineski vs Secret: What happened?
The early stages of the first match of Mineski against Secret were totally in their favor. They secured first blood and their ganks were always successful. They lead the match 10-3. (Read: Mineski vs. Team Secret live blog)
Unfortunately, overconfidence might have kicked in and Mineski made some questionable plays. Their Queen of Pain and Disruptor ganked the bottom lane, only to have the tables turned by Secret’s Ember Spirit. It was only a matter of time before Secret gain momentum and take over the game.
It looked like Mineski was out-experienced. Secret had been winning tournaments left and right in the lead up to the Frankfurt Major.
Secret was noticeably more adaptive when it came to different match-ups. In total, Secret were able to ban out and counter-pick almost all of Mineski’s comfort picks.

Now it’s down to one more game. In order to succeed, Mineski will have to survive OG’s aggression. If Mineski can survive OG’s initial assault and stall the game, then they should be able to take this match and leave OG in the 9-12th place.
It will be the first game of the day followed by Virtus Pro vs. Alliance, Evil Geniuses vs. CDEC and Secret vs. Vici Gaming.
