After COVID-19 has been declared by WHO as a global pandemic, Riot Games announced the suspension of live audience, tailgates, and press at the LCS studios until further notice.

Chris Greeley, the LCS Commisioner, announced the suspension in the effort of ensuring the safety of the esports community amidst the coronavirus outbreak. The 2020 Spring Finals is still being assessed if it can still be held in Frisco, Texas based on their local government. Riot will be able to announce their decision by Friday, March 20.

The fate of League of Legends leagues all across the globe have come into question for the Spring season as the coronavirus outbreak worsens.
