A Throne Fit for a King: Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 — League of Legends Viego Edition

If you’re a League of Legends fan like us, then you were probably hooked on the whole Ruination event that happened a couple of months back. I mean, who can blame you? The culmination of years of lore in Runeterra, the event brought together everyone’s favorite champions to face a villain that had been teased for ages.   

But our personal favorite to come out of that? The Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 — League of Legends Viego Edition. That’s right, the geniuses at Riot and Secretlab teamed up to make a chair worthy of being a throne for the Ruined King himself. 

We at Esports INQ have always been massive fans of Secretlab because of the brand’s amazing build quality and comfort, with all of the awesome styles being the metaphorical cherry on top. Last year’s models were already great, but the Evo 2022 line is an even bigger step up in customizability and comfortability — making this their best chair series ever (so far). If you aren’t that crazy on Viego, there are also chairs for Miss Fortune and Pyke as part of the Ruination collection. 

That said, here are a couple of our thoughts about the chair: 

Made to be Made for a King Right Out of the Box 

The Secretlab experience out of the box is as smooth as it’s always been. Right from the get go, you can feel just how premium and streamlined everything is — with all the parts, tools and paperwork all neatly packed and organized. You can really tell just how much effort was put into the presentation and user experience. 

The experience is so hands on that everything you need to build the chair is included in the box, even a full-sized screwdriver! 

Now don’t get us wrong; building something like a gaming chair is still a technical task in and of itself. But what the magicians at Secretlabs have done is turn that task into something most people can do and have fun with. We were able to set it up in less than half an hour with two team members, and we reckon we could’ve done it even faster (or even solo) if we weren’t taking a lot of photos. 

Think of it as building a massive LEGO toy that you can sit in and rest on!

Insane Feature Set

For those that aren’t familiar with Secretlab chairs: customizability and comfort are the names of the game. As with past Secretlab chairs, this latest model features the ability to twist and turn pretty much every aspect of the chair to suit your positional needs, recline into a near bed-like form, and adjust its height to whatever’s most comfortable for you. 

On top of what’s expected, the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 offers an insane amount of improvements both aesthetically and functionally. 

First, let’s talk about the design. In line with the Ruined King theme, the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 — League of Legends Viego Edition is adorned with the ghostly blue-gold-and-black colors that Viego is associated with. While it’s decidedly still a gaming chair aesthetically, the golden accents and various patterns also make it feel much like a modern throne — with a decal of the Blade of the Ruined King featured front and center. 

There’s not much to say about this other than how cool it looks in general, not just as a League of Legends fan! 

But Secretlab isn’t known for being a style above substance kind of company. With this year’s line, they’ve gone above and beyond when it comes to utility too. Here’s a couple of our favorite features:

• Adaptive Lumbar Support: The company’s new 4-way L-ADAPT Lumbar system now moves both up and down as well as in and out, making it so that the chair adapts to your back regardless of how you’re sitting on it—adding for much more comfortability and long-term safety.
• Magnetic Pillows: Gone are the days when you have to awkwardly attach pillows via strap or velcro. Now, pillows and cushions attach automatically via magnets.
• Cloudswap Armrests: Remember when armrests easily wore out on chairs and made the experience permanently worse?  This time around, you can easily replace them in seconds and bring things back to new with Secretlab’s magnetic Cloudswap Armrests. 

These are but a few of the innovations the team has made to make the seating experience the best it could be. And honestly? It’s a blast to sit and play on.

Great Value

At about PHP25,000, this special edition gaming chair is definitely a premium item — but one that is well worth the price. Not only is the sitting experience one of the best in the business, but it’s also one of the most customizable and easy to build. 

From the two-way adjustable lumbar support and height adjustability to the modular arm-rest and magnetic pillow attachments, we’ve never seen a chair that can adapt to your needs as much as this.  

Overall, you can really tell that, like the Ruined King himself, the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 — League of Legends Viego Edition is a chair built to last for years. Whether you’re looking for a chair for long hours of online classes and work or intense gaming sessions with friends, this is truly a chair built for a royal-like its namesake.
