ECHO Overthrows Blacklist International To Claim M4 World Title

ECHO overthrew Blacklist International as they cleanly swept the former world champions 4-0 to claim the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship.

Despite previously losing their first matchup earlier in the tournament, the Orcas started the series strong with a Game 1 win over Blacklist International. Despite trailing in the gold lead during the early game, ECHO persevered and managed to take down Blacklist, ending the game 13-4 in just fourteen minutes and forty-two seconds of action.

Then, they took Game 2 in style. This time, ECHO was ahead for most of the game, leading in kills as it eventually ended 20-8 in their favor. It was through Game 2 MVP (and eventual Finals MVP) Benedict “Bennyqt” Gonzales’s backdooring that ended the game while everyone else was at the Lord pit.

Feeling confident, ECHO then debuted Gusion on the M4 stage at the hands of Alston “Sanji” Pabico. The Gusion debut worked perfectly as Sanji even took a 3K at one point in the game and finished with a 9/2/8 record.

With momentum definitely on their side, the ECHO express bulldozed its way to shatter the code and end the series in Game 4,

ECHO will take home a total of USD $300,000 in prize money and the M4 championship trophy. Meanwhile, Bennyqt will also take home USD $10,000 for winning the MVP award.

With ECHO’s M4 win, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno also becomes the only player to have multiple M-series trophies, winning his first trophy last year with Bren Esports in M2.
