El Diablo’s pickup announcement involved a skit featuring Yay, Disguised Toast, and former Counter-Strike professional and Sentinels content creator Tarik Celik. Prior to that, DSG’s April Fools’ joke this year was the signing of Yay to the roster, originally poking fun at Yay’s sudden free-agent status after his short stint at Cloud9.
Currently, DSG’s roster includes former T1 and 100 Thieves player Joshua “steel” Nissan, Mongolian pro Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar, Canadian player Damion “XXiF” Cook, aspiring Filipino Joseph “clear” Allen, Drake “Exalt” Branly, and sixth-man substitute Chris “riku” Piasecki. Meanwhile, Yay replaces Drake “Exalt” Branly in the main five after Exalt left the team back on March 11, 2023.
With Yay officially on the roster, DSG hopes to have a better run at the upcoming VALORANT Challengers League 2023: North America Split 2 after the team suffered a lower-bracket exit during the Mid-Season Face Off at the hands of TSM.
